If you know who the “most interesting man in the world” is or can picture an image of “The Success Kid” as soon as you hear him mentioned, then you will see the potential for using memes as a marketing tool for your business.
This infographic takes a look at the reasons why you should consider making memes an integral part of your marketing strategy and how successful they can be in making that priceless lasting impression.
The beauty of the concept is that every now and again a company will create a marketing campaign that actually becomes a meme and spawns unceasing remixes that in the end, make the original meme become an example that many use to illustrate an idea or opinion.
You could also ask yourself whether memejacking might be a good idea for your type of business and the audience that you attract. There are a number of tips to look at if you are thinking about jacking a meme with a degree of success, including the useful observation that you really need to be one of the first to adopt a meme if you are going to get valuable marketing mileage before it becomes overused.
It still takes some getting used to when you see the sort of numbers you can generate with a successful video that goes viral. The Geico Hump Day video has managed an amazing 20 million views on YouTube and it is still rising.
Being able to tie your product in with something that successful and that memorable can only be good for business, which is why memes are more popular that they have ever been.

That success kid on Virgin Media is pretty good. I feel like memes are getting overused at this point but it’s still cool to see huge brands work them into content.
